Hi!
So I got English assignment to make essay about my action and demonstration of SDGs 17 Goals. I picked the gender equality topic, specifically violence. I know, it's such a heavy topic and I have no idea why did I choose this :) But anyway...
Gender-Based violence refers to harmful acts directed at an individual based on their gender. It is rooted in gender inequality, the abuse of power and harmful norms.

Basically this kind of violence is directed to a person based on their gender (mostly female). It's one of the gender inequality problem. So, how many types of gender-based violence are there?
Here are some of them :
- Physical violence
- Psychological violence
- Verbal violence
- Sexual violence
- Socio-economic violence
What causes them? According to hrlibrary.umn.edu , justifications for violence frequently are on based gender norms – that is, social norms about the proper roles and responsibilities of men and women. These cultural and social norms socialize males to be aggressive, powerful, unemotional, and controlling, and contribute to a social acceptance of men as dominant.
What do I do to help end violence?
First, I educate myself. Learn something by doing research related to this topic as I write this essay.
Learn the sign of abuse and the ways to help one's find safety and support. So if I have friends who may be experiencing violence, I know what to do.
Second, I made some posters about violence as shown below and shared them to my social media. (I don't use IG)
Here are the WIPs
I wanted to make more posters and print them out, but the idea just came awhile ago and I ran out of time :)
And finally... We come to an end! That's all. Thank you so much for reading until the very end.
Don't bother commenting y'all ;)

BalasHapusYour blog is very interesting, indeed many men around us underestimate women because they are considered weak. So hopefully reading your blog can make us all aware of mutual respect for each other and not demeaning each other
